Last Minute Easter Outfit Ideas

This month has gone by so fast, I feel like it barely even happened at all! Like I seriously cannot believe that tomorrow is already Easter! And with Easter, comes the traditional family brunch, in which there is always some sense of a need to dress up. So if you're feeling the pressure to find then perfect last minute Easter outfit, stop stressing, because I've got you covered. I thought I would share some Easter Outfit ideas with you in hopes of not only helping you find the perfect brunch attire, but also to help myself decide what to wear, because yes, I still have absolutely no idea!

Of all holidays, I find Easter to be the one that calls for exceptionally dressy outfits. I don't know if this is true for everyone, but for me at least, I always feel the need to dress up for Easter, even more so than I do on Christmas, or Thanksgiving. For me, I always consider it the day in which I finally get to put on that fancy dress that I've been dying to wear all winter, but couldn't because it was just too dang cold. A dress is not necessarily a requirement for Easter, I just usually tend to go in that direction.

Since it is obviously too late to order any of these dresses online and have them in your possession by tomorrow, you can use this as more of an outline. Perhaps you will have similar outfits in your wardrobe already, or perhaps you have some time for a last minute trip to the mall today. Regardless of how, or where you find your perfect Easter outfit, I hope this will at least help you a little bit, if you have absolutely no idea where to even begin, when putting your outfit together for tomorrows festivities. With that being said, here are some of my last minute Easter outfit ideas! I hope you enjoy!

Edgy and Trendy: Studs & Spikes

Recently I have been seeing a lot more of the studs and spikes trend; both in stores, and in my own closet. What can I say, I am absolutely in love with it! It's both chic & edgy, while at the same time, wearing it makes me feel both, more daring, and more badass. I know it might sound silly, but honestly that's what I love about fashion; it has the ability to completely change the way you feel, and think about yourself.

As many of you may have been able to tell from my most recent post, in which I showed pictures of my purchases from Forever 21, I somehow managed to purchase pieces in which nearly every single one had either studs or spikes on it, which is definitely saying something about my love for this trend. Not to mention that I already owned a few other pieces that sport this particular style, even before my recent shopping excursion, and I definitely plan on purchasing many more pieces with studs and spikes in the coming months. So yeah, I guess you could say I'm a tad obsessed!

Studs and spikes are such a fun and trendy way to add some edginess to an otherwise plain, or girly outfit. I absolutely love finding pieces like a floral dress, or a pair of colored shorts that have stud detailing on them. It's so different, and unexpected, and yet so perfect.

So if you want to add a touch of edginess to your wardrobe this spring/summer season why not?! Be bold, be daring, go ahead, buy some clothing pieces with studs and spikes, release your inner badass. You know you want too.

Forever 21 Haul

Yesterday well I was down visiting my sister I had a chance to go shopping, and lucky for me her mall has a Forever 21, which unfortunately my mall does not. And since there isn't an actual store where I live, I don't often get the pleasure of being able to try stuff on, and whatnot, so when I do go to an actual store I usually do some serious damage.

Forever 21 is one of my all time favorite clothing stores, for the simple fact that everything is relatively inexpensive, and they seem to always be very in tune with the current fashion trends. (Although, I may also be a little bias since I used to work there when I lived in California)

Anyhow, seen as I bought a decent amount of new clothing, I thought it would be fun to share with you guys what I purchased. Hope you enjoy!

Crazy for Circle Skirts

I have recently developed a love affair for circle skirts. The popular trend that was first worn in the early 1950s in making a comeback this season in a big way. You can find circle skirts in nearly every store, and in literally every color, pattern, texture, and length, imaginable. They are so versatile, and can be paired with any style top, or shoe. They can be worn with a casual outfit, or with a more sophisticated, and dressy outfit. Not to mention, that they are incredibly flattering, and look great on almost any body type.

Circle skirts are by far the biggest skirt trend for this spring and summer, and rightfully so. They are beautifully structured, and look great on practically everyone. So if you don't already own a circle skirt, or two, or five, I definitely recommend investing in them. They are guaranteed to quickly become a staple piece in your wardrobe, and will without a doubt get their moneys worth of wear. (and even more) They can be worn to a casual lunch with friends, to a romantic dinner date for two, to the mall for a fun filled day of shopping, or even to the beach on a hot summer day.

So why not hop on the circle skirt bandwagon, and go a little crazy. Develop your own love affair for them. Trust me, this is one trend you won't regret obsessing over.

What I Pack for an Overnight Road Trip

Since the weather here isn't exactly 'springy', and all my friends seem to have gone off on vacation, leaving me with nothing but my computer to keep me company. I have decided to take a trip down south (still in the same state) to spend a couple days with sister. Considering that I don't want to waste my whole break siting indoors, afraid to brave the harsh elements, I think this trip is well justified.

There is nothing I love more than taking a road trip by myself. Driving down the road, music blaring, drink coffee, singing (aka screaming badly) at the top of my lungs. Oh the simple pleasures of life. :) However, packing for a trip on the other hand, is not exactly something that I would consider fun. I am usually guilty of being one of those last minute packers, who shoves everything into my bags at the last minute.

This time however, I decided to be a little bit more organized and actually pick out my outfits the day before, and put some time and effort into packing. So since I was already putting the extra effort into my packing, I thought I would share with you some of what I would consider to be my 'overnight road trip essentials'. (outfits, makeup, reading material, etc) I hope you enjoy!
 XOXO StaceyAnn

For my overnight road trip I packed; 3 outfits, (you just never know when you may need an extra) 2 pairs of boots, (combat, UGGS) all my makeup essentials, a few magazines, my iPod, a GPS, (I'm really bad with directions) and of course some snacks for the road.

I also packed some Pajamas, and my overnight stuff, (glasses, toothbrush, face wash, etc) I just didn't include a picture because I feel like those are more generic items (things everybody packs).

Stylish, Sweet, & Sassy: Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez's career is red hot. This is her moment, her chance to be on top of the world. With a new movie premiering this weekend, and a new album coming out this year, things couldn't be looking better for her. Selena has made in my opinion, a seamlessly smooth transition from child star to a full fledged, and respected, adult actress, and style icon, which isn't an easy thing to do. She has really grown into her own, and become a beautiful young women, who is strong, self confident, and has an excellent sense of style, and fashion.

From her everyday clothing, to her red carpet dresses, to her photo shoot glam, Selena definitely knows what she is doing when it comes to fashion. And as if that wasn't enough, she has even created her own clothing line Dream Out Loud  for K-mart, which solidifies her name in the fashion industry. What ever your opinion on her may be, there is certainly no denying it; Selena Gomez is a true fashion icon, and a A-List superstar in her own right.

Spring Break Essentials

Although it is currently twenty degrees and snowing where I live, I am in fact on Spring break. And unfortunately for me I will not be spending my break anywhere warm this year, but that doesn't mean that I can't still dream of what I would be wearing if I was someplace with more spring appropriate weather.

With that being said, I thought I would put together a list of a few 'Spring Break Essentials' for those of you lucky enough to live somewhere warm, or for those of you planning to travel somewhere warm during your break. And if you're like me, and have to spend your spend your break indoors, sipping hot coco, and watching Netflix, then you can just take it as more of a late spring/summer essentials list.

Emerald Elegance

With St. Patricks day coming up this weekend, there couldn't be a better time to embrace one of this years hottest colors; Emerald. Although Emerald is a color that has always been worn on Saint Patricks Day, it usually makes it's way back into your closet once March 17th has passed, and doesn't reappear until the next year. This year however, when you pull out your finest emerald pieces, you may want to rethink putting them back, and consider keeping them out of hiding.

Emerald was chosen as 2013s color of the year, by Pantone Inc. who claim to be "the authority on color, and provider of color systems, and leading technology for accurate communication of color." Needless to say the color Emerald has been seen as a statement color everywhere this year; from the runways, to the red carpets, to even in the movies! (Oz the Great and Powerful)

Emerald looks great on practically every skin tone, which means who ever you are you are pretty much guaranteed to look amazing while wearing it. It is also a very versatile color and can be worn in so many different ways. You could wear it as a statement piece; Emerald colored pants, shirt, or dress. You could wear it as a bit more subtle part of your outfit; Emerald colored shoes, purse, or accessories. Or you could even rock this color trend in the most sublet way possible, on your nails. With so many different ways to rock this color, why not go ahead and add a bit more of it into your wardrobe this year?

So this Monday after Saint Patricks day has come and gone, go ahead, continue to wear those Emerald greens. Just as long as it's not in the form of your 'Kiss me I'm Irish' t-shirt, that one you can definitely put back into your closet until next year.
